Thanks!
The last couple minutes were pretty intense.
Two minutes to go. Two on each side. The enemy has one KV-5 near their base and an American Medium (don’t recall which) on their base. Both of them are at near full health. My team mate has crossed the cliff area, looking toward their base, and I’ve come all the way through the valley. My team mate is in a medium and was down to maybe 50% health. He is also close to fully exposed to enemy fire from his position.
I’m at about 25% health and only have four rounds (HE) left when the KV-5 and I spot each other (the enemy medium and I also spot each other, but the KV-5 is the bigger threat). The KV-5 is trying to hide behind a smaller dead hulk, so I only have shots at his turret. I’m popping in and out from a rock, taking some hits from him and the medium. Of my four remaining rounds only one does any damage. My partner gets shots into the KV-5 from the rear as the KV-5 is concentrated on me. My team mate gets a kill on the KV-5. The two enemies have dropped me to under 10% health in this exchange.
Without any ammo left, and knowing that my team mate can’t get to the enemy base in time, I rush the medium on the base, weaving and dodging as I go, hoping to get him to concentrate on me. It works. He concentrates on me, allowing my team mate to get shots in on him; killing him as the timer has gone into the red. I was down to less than 5% health at the end.
We likely wouldn’t have won if my team mate and I hadn’t worked together.
